Many people were stunned by the photographic ability of Huawei P20 Pro last year. It also had a triple-sensor camera which consisted of 40MP sensor of which a new bar was set in the smart phone photography industry. This made the P20 Pro a successful series and the company sold around more than 10 million pieces in just five months.
While P20 Pro is still viewed as the leading camera smart phone in the industry, Huawei is already ready to launch a phone that consists of four cameras which is made in association with Leica. The new P30 Pro has quad camera of which the main lens is only 40MP and a telephoto lens equipped with 50x zoom, also a wide-angle lens and extra “time-of-flight” camera which helps to get a blurred impact in images.
While launching the P30 Pro in Paris last month, a tech giant from china praised that its quad cameras have features like DSLR. He also said in order to check how Huawei has brought improvement in its camera he has been shooting with the P30 Pro for a couple of days.
For this model, I exclusively concentrated on the camera of P30 Pro where in I saw how the performance was in day light/low light and how much it could convey in detail and what sort of color it could capture. I also had a look at 5x optical long range lens in the P30 series.
Review of Huawei P30 Pro camera:
The quad-camera setup which Huawei has made in a joint effort with Leica is a major deal in the P30 Pro series. A triple-lens array is placed vertically, featured by the 40MP Super Spectrum lens, 8MP periscope lens and a 20MP wide-angle lens. A small sensor TOF (time of slight) which is utilized to create better bokeh images can be noticed to the right side of the triple-lens array. It also has a front facing 32MP selfie camera.
